Trending Effecting Ways for Management-International Business

Question: Discuss about the International Business for Effecting Ways for Management. Answer: Write role-cards for the following role-play activity: A telephone call to a colleague, telling her that you cant make it to the meetingbecause you urgently need to visit a supplier and ask for a postponement. Role cards are one of the most effective ways of practising English ^1. In role cards, the students have to write on a situation, behaving as if he or she is one part of the situation. Then they have to read their part loudly near everybody. This helps the students a lot. It helps them enhance their speaking, reading and writing skills all at the same time^2. According to the situation given here in this role card there are two characters where one colleague is calling another colleague to postpone a meeting which he is unable to attend ^3. Let you be Mr. A and the person whom he is calling be Mr. B. Mr. A: Hello! Is it Mr B? Mr. B: Yes speaking. Say Mr. A. Are you ready for the meeting tomorrow? Mr. A: Yes that is the reason for which I have called you. I wanted a favour from you. Mr. B: Yes, say what? Mr. A: I have to visit the supplier tomorrow morning. So I would not be able to attend the meeting. Could you please postpone the meeting? Mr. B: Postpone the meeting! What are you saying? Is there any problem Mr. A: Nothing much serious but tomorrow visiting the supplier is very important. That will help us in our future aspect. Mr. B: OK! If I postpone it to tomorrow evening, will it be fine? Mr. A: Yes that would be great. Thank you. Mr. B: you are most welcome. So lets me tomorrow. Good night. Mr. A: Yes surely. Good night. These dialogues will be told by the student loudly making it an interesting activity for them. How will you use the draft as a material for a BE class? Mention the learning outcome, the activity or task the trainees have to perform using the material, their language level and the context of the learners. The given draft can be used as a material for the BE class very effectively. I shall ask the class to get divided into two groups and ask one group members to be the trainer and the other group members to be the sponsor. And then I shall ask an individual member of one group to exchange their writing with the individual member of the other group. Now I shall ask them to read the writing they go loudly. This shall teach them the way to write any agreement which is a very vital part of every business organisation. Not only that they can also understand the mistakes when someone else is reading their agreement ^1. They are going to discuss about the product specification, manuals, business plans, marketing plans, reports, contracts, and correspondence. This draft can be used as a practice session for the students. Here one student of each group shall have to do a one to one conversation with each other. The students also have to write down their views on the topic and then speak in front of the whole class. This will improve their speaking as well as their writing skills ^2. The given draft is an agreement so when both the parties of the agreement sit together then there will also be some arguments. There will be many points which the sponsor would like to include and many points which the trainer would like to include. So overall this draft analysis activity shall be very fruitful for the students. They shall also get an idea about how agreements are made and how they are to be executed if any argument arises regarding it. Speaking English does not end it all. It also includes some gestures and etiquettes which the speakers should show. I believe that these types of activities shall enhance their confidence and make the class enjoyable. ^3. Irina L.
